Thank you! I hope it goes well! So you'll fold the ruffle strip lengthways, and it will still turn out to be a 5/8" ruffle after sewn into the seam allowance but I think that folded edge will help it to stay up better. If your fabric is lightweight, I suggest adding interfacing too.
