Every now and then I ponder if this is still the original Joe or if you got it mixed up with another one at some point, but then I see Joe acting uncooperative and I know it is still the original Joe. Also, if this challenge ever become a thing, I hope someone will make a mod that retextures Joe (and only Joe) to give it a little happy face. Keep up the good work, I can't wait to see how far you'll take him, and how you'll handle the trash compactor or the teleporter shenanigans.

In the first episode, when you had to switch to half life: source for a specific part, when you switched back to the original one, was it the same joe or you changed it?

@@jecksfoxofficialidk about source console commands but in fallout console commands, you can click an entity and "moveto player" and it would tp the entity to the player, maybe something like that could be done here, idk

There's several commands that could theoretically tell that Joe after game switch are the same one Joe. There're commands one of which deletes entity from existence, and the other one which change enitity's name

in the middle of the returning of Joe the game switched to HD (shadows, lighting, water etc become next gen) then it turned back to vanilla, am I tripping?

No you're not, he switches to Half Life Source during some parts that are not possible in vanilla Half Life

Out of curiosity from 22:36, do save files work if you copy paste them from hl1 into hl:s, or are you just allowing swapping versions?

They do not. It's literally 2 different engines. He could be spawning the headcrab from console to showcase segments where the headcrab is not possible to pass some obstacle in goldsource.

@@zonetropper late to replying to this but I asked since I'd seen Pinsplash mention in other videos about leftovers from GoldSource still working in Source. I get that they're two different engines, but one was based off the other so it wasn't a stupid question (though I did go to check and it doesn't work)
