Pinstriping straight lines

A quick how-to showing you how I pull long lines, my technique, my preferred brush (Peewee 800 by Mack), and my set up... After 17 years of using Cosmos, then DaVinci 700 long liners for all of my line work I noticed the "hair falling out syndrome" then the shape consistently changing as the selling price of these brushes continued to rise.
All the while always having to grab my trusty Mack Blue wrap (series 10) for my design work or any time I had flames or graphics with lots of turns. I'd finally had enough.. So teaming up with Mack Brush company to develop a brush that combined the best of both worlds the Peewee 800 Long Liner was born.
This wasn't a one time "hey make a brush like this guys" type of thing. It took many attempts and quite a few design changes to ensure the "butterknife" or "sword" shape was just right, not to mention the hair count was refined to maximize the paint carrying abilities for those long lines this brush was intended for.

Many decades ago when I first started striping I took some samples to show the man who got me started. He said that my brush control was very good and that he didn't understand the designs (ala Von Dutch) but they were very good! Which made me feel great until he asked "How long of a straight line could I pull and do it on the side of a vehicle? It ruined my day! I tell newbies the same thing! Anybody can stripe a design but show me a a 10 foot horizontal straight line!

I’ve watched a few of the Pinstriping videos on KZbin and nobody really addressed the tape or magnet purpose is it just a visual guide or do you actually use it to keep your sliding hand physically in place ?

Oh my god..... I've been using one shot for over 20 years and the skinning over thing has always really got on my tits! The brilliant a hole thing in the top of the tin is the best thing I've seen in years! I generally throw 50% of paint away as it gets full of shitty bits and I'm too lazy to strain it....
