Hi Daniel, Hi Toa, thank you both for your input :-) It may not seem like, but what you ask for is actually quite difficult to do. The main reason is that the app doesn´t create actual variants but rather adds further information to the existing variants. Therefore it would be hard (if even possible) to associate different Variant images based on the bold options. May I ask what kind of product option requires you to swap the image? Could you create native product options for all these variants? (So that you would only setup bold options for all the variants that don´t require a new image)

The issue I had with native product options was the limitation of 3x categories, and 100x total. I sell a keyboard which has 8 different layouts, 8 different colors, and 20+ options for the type of switches. On top of that, I also have addons directly on the page. For example someone can add keycaps or cables to their order. This is something I would really like to see in the main product image. For now, I figured out how to make the icons fairly large, but would still like to see main image change. Not really sure how else to accomplish this. Hi Omer :-) Using the Tag Manager is an Option too. For US based Shops Pinterest also created an App I think, but I didn´t get to test that yet. Once they make it globally accessible I might do a video on that too.

This was a great tutorial, however I'm getting this message in Pinterest: Overall health: Unhealthy Page visit: "Make sure you are including Product IDs in your Page visit events. A Product ID can be any format you choose as long as it matches the format used by your catalogue." Checkout: "Make sure you are including Product IDs in your Checkout events. Hi Jan ich habe einen Shopify shop mit einer deutschen Domain. Bei mir besteht das Problem das der Base code anscheinend nicht die Daten trakted. In conversation Insights steht " Das Pinterest-Tag ist fehlerhaft. Dein Tag weist Fehler auf, daher sind die Daten unter Umständen veraltet oder nicht verfügbar. Korrigiere das Tag, um möglichst genaue Metriken zu erhalten" Gehe ich nun auf den writer Tag korriegieren steht in einerm Orangen Wahrndreieick "Zu wenige der Produkt-IDs, die du deinen Seitenaufruf-Events hinzugefügt hast, stimmen mit den Produkt-IDs im Katalog überein" Was bedeut das ? Darauf folgend werden mir weitere rote Wahrndreiecke angezeigt die sagen, dass kein einziger Event code implemtiert ist um diese aufzuzeichnen und dementsprechend zu tracken. ich hoffe du kannst mir da weiter helfen.

Hi Jan, awesome tutorial! quick question, if you're not on Shopify Plus and are running ads on more than 1 channels, e.g. Google Ads, Pinterest, etc., do you just put the different tracking scripts all in the checkout additional javascript section and wrap them all with "{% if first_time_accessed %} ... {% endif %}"? I was originally planning to use Tag Manager to do all the tracking but soon realized if you're not on Shopify Plus then you don't have access to checkout.liquid file :( From my research various tutorials suggested pasting the GTM codes in the additional javascript in the Preference Google Analytics section, but I don't think it works anymore because in GTM preview mode the preview panel doesn't show up in the checkout pages.

That’s likely a problem with his card or something. You should always do test purchase to see if it’s working fine for you. Change a items price to 1$ or a few cents and do a test purchase.. chances are there’s a reason it’s not approving his purchase..

Hello, Jan I have a question about discounts on Shopify. Shopify has only 1 automatic "buy 1 get 1 free" discount and I want to do more of these. Also, when I do this discount, the customer has to add both products to the cart for it to work. I would love for the customer to only add to cart one product and the other automatically appear as an offer! Is this possible? The other discount would be simple: buy 3 get 1 free, buy 5 get 2 free, buy 10 get 5 free (of the same product). Is it possible without apps?

Hi Jan, ich hab das alles so gemacht aber Pinterest sagt mir, dass den Pixel so nicht verwenden kann. Der Tag Manager feuert zwar bei den Events aber ich kann beim Erstellen der Anzeige nicht auf Conversions maximieren klicken. Hast du eine Idee was das Problem sein könnte? Hey Jan, weißt du wie man das über den Tag Manager macht? Weil genau das was du angesprochen hast, es sollen ja kein statischen Werte sein, egal was ich eingebe ob total Price mit Klammern ohne Klammern der Tag Helper zeigt immer an das die value fehlt. Vielleicht hast damit Erfahrung?

I followed these steps exactly and the events don't appear in my pixel helper. I'm not using an ad blocker either. The only thing that appears under the events is this "Initialized event was sent successfully." - Enhanced match....i don't get any page view events, or ad to cart events, on initiate checkout events.

Hi John , awesome to see you back here 😃👋 I have to admit that I´m not a marketing expert, but advertising costs will vary significantly based on the selected audience. For instance, targeting people who like shoes might cost you 10ct per link click while targeting people interested in signing up for new credit cards could easily cost you 15$+ per link click. Regarding the platform I´d suggest to really dive deep on who your (dream)-customer is. On Facebook we have more adults than teenagers right now and Pinterest is more known for Art/DIY/Visual content. I wish I had more data to share, but would need to do a bit more research first. 😃

Hi Aleksander :-) Definitely something we could cover, thank you for your input. In the meantime let me give you a hint. If your theme uses JQuery (which most themes do) you can copy the snippet down below to the bottom of your theme.js or app.js or theme.min.js (depends on your theme). The only thing you would need to adjust is the selector for your Add-To-Cart Button. I suggest you take the ID or the CSS class of that button. You can find that when you right-click on that button -> inspect. (If you don´t know what I´m talking about you might want to watch my video on CSS) If you use the button´s ID it would be $('#BUTTONID').click... if you use the class name it would be $('.BUTTONCLASSNAME').click... $(document).ready(function(){ $('.BUTTONCLASSNAME').click(function(){ pintrk('track', 'addtocart'); }); }); You could test everything with the Pinterest tag helper. Hope that helps :-)

Hey Achal, thanks for your input and the great feedback :-) Creating Shopify Themes from scratch is not as easy as it may seem. If you're starting out, I would recommend customizing prebuilt themes first. We could still cover the basics in future videos I think :-)

In the beginning you could focus on customizing stores using the given theme settings. Once you improve you will be able to offer further customizations that require code modifications. :-)
