Actually it sounds SCARY to me. He's been saying that since he first stepped out on the Balcony at St. Peter almost 11 years ago now. Don't know but he gets WORSE every day, not better!!!! Prayers can only go so far...as far as the individual you pray for will allow. I'm not saying don't pray for him but that him asking you to do so it's kind of dubious....does he REALLY mean it??!!! @@archangelliii2536i would say trust God and let it to Him. You’re being judgmental but you cannot see the heart of the Pope. Only God can see it and judge if it’s humble or not. BUT, we can certainly judge ACTIONS and quite frankly his actions speak much louder than his words! From the PachaMama debacle/heresy to him getting rid or ignoring of good sheperds like Cardinal Raymond Burke, or Fr. Frank Pavone or Bishop Fernandez of Arecibo, PR for opposing Pope Francis mandate on the demonic vaccine, etc. while at the same time embracing and supporting disciples of Satan like Pelosi or biden(and condoning giving SACRILEGEOUSLY the Holy Communion to them or other abortion supporters!) or "father" James Martin with his publicly scandalous heretic and evil promotion of sodomy and naming pedophiles and pro-sodomy and abortion people and clergy to high office at the Vatican, etc., etc. The list goes on and on. I also pray for him. I pray for his conversion and his removal from the Papacy for the sake of the Bride of Christ. But maybe when you calm down. Why I say it? The capital letters and exclamations are usually a sign for shouting out loud aka anger. I’m a weak human, just as you are and I have days when I react to some comments the way you do now. Not that extremely but yet. This happens usually, when I pray less. Forgiving one’s parent was discussed in this interview. I’m in my late 60s. I spent almost my entire life trying to come to a place where I could forgive my parents. I have a brother who’s in his mid-70s and a sister also in that age range. My sister has come close to forgiving my parents, but my brother still struggles with it. I turned the lens of compassion on my parents a long time ago. My father passed over 30 years ago, and my mother passed more than 10 years ago. They suffered from PTSD. They were born and lived in a time when there was a little understanding of what trauma did to people. As a result, they were not able to understand that they needed to restrain their behavior. They traumatized each and everyone of their children; of which there were six. Each of them has walked through this life with some sort of baggage. I don’t think the individual can come to a place where they can force themselves to truly forgive. This act of forgiveness took me almost until the age I am now. I agree that through prayer and loving Christ, while trying to understand that his teaching brings one to a place where forgiveness is possible. This is true forgiveness however. It’s not intellectual. This is where, when one recalls the things that happened to them, they no longer relive the suffering. For me, if I think about them and various history, which I do from time to time, it’s more as if the things that happened to me actually happened to someone else. I’m not in denial. I’ve just moved on. I think I’ve experienced enough healing in my own life that I can now attend to other things. It’s a freeing thing as people have often spoken of, about forgiveness. But it’s freeing in this respect, one is now free to no longer be dogged by the trauma they endured years before, and they are free to live their lives as each day comes.

There are many paths, not just one path. Solidarity in Christ is presupposed. However, he condemns “nostalgia”, mentioning “the fifties” and pre-Vatican II. It is not nostalgic to look back to a time of full convents, full and affordable schools, many vocations, enthusiastic church attendance, and many other markers of success. Much of that is now gone. And we shouldn’t examine why because it’s too “nostalgic”? That is a recipe for repeating mistakes and failing to accumulate wisdom based on lessons learned.

I know how you feel, it's really hard to see the Church talk so much about the beauty and merits of the sacrament of marriage (and the family) and yet be unable to experience it. Especially hard if one has had difficult and/or traumatic experiences involving relationships. I really wish the Church did more to bring young Catholic men and women together. Even more so considering the toxicity in modern culture and the far reaching negative impacts of social media/the internet. Today it's hard enough to meet anyone period, let alone someone that shares the same values and faith. I also feel like some parishes don't do enough to foster a real community which ends up driving a lot of younger people away, since none of their friends (if they even have any) are Catholic. Finding friends as a Catholic is particularly (and uniquely) hard in the first place because a great many people (including most Christians from other denominations) think you're either nuts, an uninteresting and boring loser, a hateful and judgemental hypocrite, or an idolater practicing a demonic and paganized perversion of "true Christianity(tm)". I will pray for you my brother/sister in Christ, and I humbly ask you to return the favor!

The Catholic Church offers the fullness of the faith and salvation through the Sacraments and OBEDIENCE to Her teachings. The curiosity of how the early church worshipped and what early church fathers believed and why, has strengthened my faith in the Catholic Church, the Bride of Christ! ✝️❤️

Unfortunately this conversation has the negative trait of most deep Catholic conversations. It completely ignores us single Catholics who are not married (have no kids either). Everything is always focused on marriage to the point of excluding those of us who do not get to experience it. It’s never in history been harder to date while sticking to Catholic values, but don’t expect the Catholic public figures to do anything to include those of us who are in that boat. It gets very hurtful after a while.

I’m there with you. I look at families with longing but it’s too late for me. However, I doubt I would be this devoted to the church. I was a wild young adult and may not have raised a holy family. We all have a purpose and I trust God to point me in the right direction. That is all the encouragement I need, not from anyone else.

I'm with you, friend. I am trusting in the LORD although my wife and I cannot conceive after 17 years of marriage. It's a struggle to watch literally all of our family raise children and some even getting divorces, unfortunately. My wife and I are very much in love and it hurts, honestly. Still, with all this being said, GLORY TO JESUS CHRIST! Stay strong in the LORD, brethren.

Thank you Dr. Hahn! Am I the only one who imagines God's voice to sound like Scott's? Everything I heard from him and read by him is an invitation to encounter Christ which the great teachers have always said is the first step of evangelism. And Matt, you are such a gem. During your interviews, you genuinely are interested in your guests. You guide the conversation just enough then humbly let your guest speak. About waiting....Waiting is not something we have a choice about. I prayed for my family to re-unite for 18 years. Meanwhile I am getting quite old, and decided that God said, for His own ineffable reasons, "no." But it turned out to be, "Not yet." This last Christmas, as only the brilliance of the Holy Spirit can work, my family was reunited in love, forgiveness, great joy, gratitude, and happiness. It could only have happened now, not when I began petitioning him those 18 years ago. I learned finally, be patient, faithful, and steadfast in prayer, to be able to submit to His perfect timing.

Dear Dr. Hahn, I am not a real person. My mother told me that when I was a baby I had meningitis and did this something to my brain. I could never learn I had a hard time learning in school specially, at the time they weren't aware of people having ADHD I suffered so much because of this, and even though I went through all that I still manage to have a normal life I did the best I could I had a beautiful wedding. I was very much in love when I got married.! but the only problem in my head was the learning disability! Everything for me was very hard, even when I was learning to drive the teacher was nasty with me because I had a hard time understanding! So this is what I went through all my life people belittle me teachers treating me nasty! And after the virus, I was all alone completely! I divorce my husband because he was a womanizer! Then I met somebody who wanted to marry me! But instead he used me I love you with me! So I'm here alone again! My daughters didn't talk to me! Because survive different opinion! And now I am overwhelmed! I cannot get out of bed! I need help please help me! Thank you😢😢😢😢😢😢
