hi, I tried everything to reproduce Dolby 5.1 on my Onkyo TXSR494, nothing to do, I can reproduce DTS and DTS-HDMA perfectly but I can't hear anything in Dolby 5.1 or Dolby Atmos. Could it be this chip's fault or should both formats have problems? thanks good work

Hey I have a Pioneer VSX-1131 receiver, and the LED display doesn't work. I have checked that it isn't just dimmed and it's not that. How would you go about troubleshooting that? Any help would be much appreciated!

@@technoboy-allinOne i have the same issue with front left channel. Pioneer vsx-921k. When i use analog input in pure direct, it works fine. But when i use hdmi or any digital option etc pro logic II, front left chanel is bad. Any solution? Is hdmi board bad, or any of its component, or should i look for something else, since all other chanels works well with digital input? Thanks!

I am using Sanyo XT-49S7200F49 inch (123.2cm) Full HD IPS LED TV, it has 3 HDMI connections(2 HDMI on the side and 1 HDMI at the bottom). In HDMI 2 it's showing "Audio Out"(Not labelled ACC), whether the port has the feature of ARC (Audio Return Channel). Is this model ARC connection feature to connect my home theatre ??? Based on your valuable videos I purchased a pioneer HTP-076 (Main unit (VSX-326) ). How do I connect to my Sanyo nxt 49-inch tv? Please make a video.

Good video.... In case dts decoder chip needs to be replaced then do we need to install firmware again.... because there is still no sound issue with some receiver even after replacing faulty dts chip...thanks

Yes. Firmware is mendatory to install after replace the chip.

Try resetting the receiver. If the fault doesnt go then it might be lcd connection problem or the lcd itself. Though its not clear to me that except display everything else is working as ususal.

I use the receiver for home cinema. Never used the fm till now.. but i think there wouldnt be any noise untill it catch a stations. Connect the am loop antena properly. And place the fm antena wire properly. Then try again

I have sound only in pure direct mode, checked voltages they are all fine... but no sound in other mods... only pure direct on fronts... do you know what is the problem??

Most probably its the faulty decoder chip. Replace it. But before that reset the receiver & see if the problem is gone

I have vsx 522 K and my tech told me to replace the digital main board. I manage turning on the power by pressing power & advance surround button at the same time. sometimes it turns on & goes off. Im able to connect my amazon firestick on HDMI and it works but theres no audio on every thing,...on tuner, dvd, cd?...do I really need to replace the HDMI BOARD? do you where can I buy a replacement board?

Hi, i need some advice if you can help me? I have phenomenal av Pioneer vsx 2021, and one day problem with sound starts. I opened amplifier and found that smd chip "Bridge co dm860" when is heated, amplifier starts to lose sound. I mounted aluminium block with cooler direct on the chip, but after i using amplifier all day then same problem occurs. What do you think, can resoldering fix the problem, or i need to replace the chip? Thanks in advance😊

Replace is the last option. First you gotta check the other parts around it. Maybe its supplied over voltage or current to that chip, thats why its heating up.

Hello, I have a question, I have a pioneer elite vsx-53 manufactured in April 2012, the code UE22 appeared, it presents an audio fault, it takes 10 minutes for the sound to come out, then there is no fault, I turn it off and on and the code goes away, but the next day it is Even if I restarted it, it doesn't fix itself. Ue22 is firmware update error. Try resetting the receiver.

I get either Working Perfectly or FULL VOLUME SCREECHING/BUZZING/OSCILLATING Sounds out of the speakers then the HDMI blinks. Glad it hasn't blown any of 8 JBL 4312s. Pressing the Power Button to turn it off gets you "POWER ON" on the display and the unit fires up. So I guess it turns itself off. This just started with one UE22 Error after, I want to say, 10 years (?). To tell the truth, this unit never sounded as good as my 3 previous AVRs. Onkyo/Pioneer, if I only had known. Should have stayed with Yamaha.

Hello, could you please advise me? I'm still an electronics student. I have a Pioneer VSX-921 receiver, but the sound stopped working. It does not go into headphones or an amplifier. I play the sound from the internet radio. Where could the problem be? The board voltage is OK, but the 7812 has 13.3V at the output and the 7912 has only 11V at the output. Can this be the cause of the problem?

Check for speaker impedance. If your speaker impedance is lower then the receiver recomend, then the transistors will keep blowing.

Hey, I have a pioneer AV receiver VSX-524 I got used from a coworker, about 2 days after setting it up and getting surround sound ARC working through my TV it started buzzing slowly getting loud out of all speakers. Shortly after, I lost sound in my front left channel then after swapping with the same model speaker (6ohms) still nothing and after switching back my center channel was dead too. I tried reseting it, reseting the error codes, unhooked from literally everything then hooked back up basic left right and the left channel was still dead and buzzing remained in both speakers even with no inputs and nothing else close to it or in the same outlet. The buzzing gets quieter when I dim my display brightness on the receiver (no clue why) Any and all advice is very much appreciated as I am new to receivers, although I have done some soldering and wiring before for high power nerf mods so not scared to attempt a fix.

Hdmi or the logic board has the dolby decoder chip. All the audio input signals go through it. So you need to repair the kit

Hi. I have same problem with my yamaha rxv773. The dsp chip was D80YK113CPTP4 and I replaced it with D80YK113DPTP4. That is updated version of cptp4. Now i have speaker icons right away after turning the power on but NO SOUND, NO TEST TONE no nothing. Did the complete diagnostic and no errors found. Maybe i got bad chip?

Maybe the chip is not bad but its not a complete match to the logic board. Try resetting the receiver & check if it works

@@technoboy-allinOne i did reset, nothing. I run self diagnostic and no foult was present. In texas instrument document says that this is newer version of the chip. Pin to pin same. New receivers have that chip instaled dptp4. I saw it in the store before i bought the chip. Tuner works in pure direct mode. Either chip is bad or the tech who replaced the chip screw something up. I found little balls os solder after replacement on some chips and capacitors. I removed that before instaling the board.

What type of noise? Remove all the inputs & check again. If no more noise that means inputs problem. If still problem persists then try reseting the receiver. That should slove the problem. If still the problem is there then the receiver must have physical connection or faulty or loose parts problem.

I think so. That board is called logic board. I think it has a input detection problem. Contact service center.

Only replaceng dsp is fixing, all other methods are shitting right on face of clients. Heatsink dont change anything because heating fixes this sometimes if software is not corupted and only works for random amout of time. Fault will return. Only good corrected dsp fixes this permanently.

If the port & the wires are fine then maybe the chip is bad. Or better try resetting the receiver. That may work if its the firmwere prob.
