I realize that the world still massively runs on these Pioneers and they are really great. However, the new kid on the block - the SC5000 Prime by Denon, blows these out of the water at half the price. That is the reason why I sold my 2 nexus 1 players in favor of the Denon's.

@RandomDogeee I have not had many issues with the players to be honest; The biggest issue is Engine Prime: it is still buggy and limited compared to rekordbox but it gets the job done. Rekordbox also had its issues and I know of CDJs back in the days who froze during a set! You had to reboot them. Never had that with a Denon. 🤞

Overpriced plastic toys. Get the SC5000 for $800, far superior player, and support more competition rather than a lazy monopolist!

not really, got mine for a club i was running back in 2015 played every weekend for 10-12 hours with drinks and smoke on them they still work great. Also had them out in the sun, bad conditions in DIY raves with sand and dust, still working! i agree that denon has more features and seems more stiff but they need to co-operate with rekordbox too. Also the big problem is the master tempo, it is not the same as pioneer's.

Overpriced because Denon can't deliver a competitive product yet. No offence but Denon is for home use, Pioneer is for heavy duty use. Never seen a Denon in a club or at a festival. Why? simple answer, built quality. Most DJs will choose reliable gear not gadgets with many features, it's not about that.

Lol denon's stuff is cheap because they make cheap products. They had to wait for pioneer to make it first, then they go ahead and clone it for cheaper.
