Trying out the Pioneer USB Controller for Traktor DJ.

I recommend what ever dj controller you have, go for Traktor soffware... it does have everything you need. Noise, Flanger, Delay, Echo etc. My favorite is flanger

Great Vid Dusty,clear & concise,the controller is with all pioneer solid & the native mapping never brings up any glitches or bugs as with other controllers. The S1 is worth a look at too for people coming straight from 1210's or CDJ's

i feel your pain ...i'm 40 had 1200's but now i use traktor not cause i can't mix but cause i don't have room or access to old records .... There are many great DJ who use software to make it easier when they travel and have everything organized..u can't hate technology....

@hunterproductionvids Yes, it comes with a special DDJ Version ... but you can update do pro. It's just plug & play, so you don't have to create or download a mapping first.

@MrBasta111 Ergo is more of a beginner hardware it's designed to work with the beginner software VDJ. DDJ t1 is more professional along with the professional software Traktor.

yes... you do on almost all MIDI controlers if they are "traktor ready" and this is... you can see that there also is a Traktor logo on the controller :)

Traktor will come with demo songs and samples, but ofcourse if you going to want to use songs you specifically know/like, you'll have to buy them seperately and load them into your track collection in traktor (unless you have other means of obtaining them....)

I currently run Traktor with the Kontrol S4, which as just broken :( I am now looking at the DDJ-T1, will it work with Tracktor 2? I don't want to have to re-do all my playlists!! any ideas?

@radiomarky You need to see & match the levels directly from the software in the laptop, but please...the DDJ-S1 of Serato has VU meters ON the hardware. Why they didn't add them on this thing?? Huge dealbreaker to me.

Hello, I just bought ddj t1 and it arrived today. But the hardware doesn't work. ( It does not turn on, the lights don't even turn on, too ) Is repair possible? Because I know It's kinda old stuff .. plz somebody help. I really want to use it 😭😭😭

@MrBasta111 That choice depends on the software you like to use more, T1 -> Traktor S1 -> Serato, ErgoV -> Virtual DJ. All the controlers are compatible with all softwares I mentioned, but their design were made to work with the specific software like I said.

All I want to know is where is the DJ Bible that says you should only use Turntables and CD players for DJing, times are changing no one goes around carrying a big box of Vinyl or CDs. If you can not master the use of a computer and software do not hate the Digital DJs.

Dumisani Mguni I have a different opinion my friend. Firstly music was started by nature, trees, animals, the wind, rain, etc.. Due to evolution, sounds have changed along with the language we use everyday, hence my friend, technology has changed, new sources have been created to represent and all in all, you use what you want when you want. Though, you are right with vinyls, the analogue sound is a production of one of a kind. Never asked how you slept, rather it being a - thought of - the "ill information" I have written. Listen, I was at the world launch of the CDJ1000 in Melbourne, Australia, so hate me or not, vinyl cd, mp3, aiff, whatever khz and format you want, including static from vinyls, recording equipment etc, vinyl will always be true sound. Yeh mate, I dj from cdj's at clubs in Australia, but I now use Traktor DDJ (for many years)and currently use Pioneer DDJ with Mac Laptop, coz I CBF, spending money on vinyl costs and $3000 on CDJ's. Better things to spend on. Love from me x (I'm not arguing, we are discussing)

@sing572717 Because a Mac just works !!! I play on a MacBook late 2007 and never had a problem til now. I actually know 2 DJ's who couldn't play at the Evening, because their Windows Crashed. Of course,you can also do this stuff on Windows maschines, but if you have the extra money for a Mac just go for it. (And you can install Windows as well, if you need it for work.) And your question about Pioneer or Numark..... Are you serious?? Pioneer has the finest quality, i've ever seen !!

Surely the idea of have a large controller with multiple button is that you dont need a mouse! And if your testing a 4 channel mixer/controller, set it up with for channels on the software! Jeez
