I think the fault is with the usb. The first one I used worked no problem, but then it broke (my fault) so I bought the same one you did. Dude I thought I wasted my money for a while there, but this vid really helped. Thanks a ton!

Thank you so much. I finally installed my new pioneer car stereo in my Corsa D. (Corsa D system is annoying especially with the red ignition wire). Everthing works from Aux and Radio but no USB. Kept getting the "Read Format, Error 19" message. Followed your video, works perfect. Usb now works. I have the same sandisk MS, with 64gb so size is not at issues with the stereo. Thanks.

Well done, I have been raising this with Pioneer support in UK and they said it must be faulty but you have identified that it is a skewed menu issue and I now have my MVH290 USB working, thanks for sharing, good one!

i have been fighting with this for months i have tried reformatting to all different formats my USBS accept i have tried partitioning different spaces on the USBs incase it was a memory cap reading issue i have tried different brands of USBs etc and none of them worked i almost gave up... but you.. you sir had the answer and i thank you. i would like the video more than once if i could without making another account

For Pioneer DEH-S6000BS the easy fix is ; go to system -then go to USB and turn it to off ( not auto ) , and that fixes the problem

Nice job mate. Your stereo is abit different to mine. Mine didn't say android wired. Instead I just turn off usb auto off whilst my usb is in use.

This also happens when the flash drive is fragmented....all you have to do is put it in your computer/laptop....open my computer/this pc.....right click on the drive....click properties...go to tools....scan for errors.....then click scan and repair...and boom your flash works perfect after....and no you dont loose anything on your flash...youre welcome.

Error 23 is the more common one. This is caused by USB's which are formatted to either ex-FAT or NTFS. They need to be formatted to FAT32. Added to which only Fat32 USB's up to 32Gb will play. I can hardly believe the grief this Pioneer flaw has caused - for years!

In the Pioneer manual it suggests turning the ignition off then on again. This usually works, but wait 30 seconds before turning on. Maybe Pioneer should sort their rubbish software in these radios as it appears a common and annoyingly intermittent problem. I've had shuffle playback issues too on a MVH-X580DAB bought in 2016.

I have this. But my problem is. It won’t charge my phone unless I source thru my options and pass by usb. But it’s a hassle when otp. Is there anyway I can’t fix it ? My last radio automatically started charging when I plugged my phone. BT works great tho
