Question for you guys: I just bought the 1440nex and really like it - thanks for the videos on it they helped influence my decision to go with this one... now for the question: as you know this headunit only comes with 1 USB and that’s on the back, is it possible to use a USB splitter and be able to plug my iPhone in so I can use Apple CarPlay and also have a USB drive plugged into the other side of the splitter with music and or whatever on it so I can switch back and for or even use both at the same time? Thanks in advance!

Thank you. Nope no usb splitters. It can not read though a hub, there is no software built into to do that.

This is the unit I have been waiting for! HD radio, SirrusXM, Ipod. My problem is every time I start my car the unit turns volume to zero and changes from FM1 to FM2. I've tried to reset but now it doesn't have rear speakers. Please help. I love this unit and don't want to trade it in.

I have a question, for the camera function to work do you have to have a camera put in? I bought a 2011 Tahoe LS model and I don’t believe it has a backup camera and I see the radio has a camera function.

If you add a front camera, since you have a setting for the second camera is there a way the flip the camera image of say you mounted a rear camera in the front and the picture shows left hand video on the right side of the screen kinda like looking in a mirror. I know my avh-x2800bhs cant fo this and it bugs the crap out of me since I put a pioneer backup camera in my front grill and have no way to flip the image

With these newer stereos are you not able to control, Bass, Mids, and treble ? Seems like u can only adjust fade and balance..

On crutchfield, the more expensive wiring option says it will have Bluetooth, and the cheaper option won’t. If I order the cheaper option will it not have carplay?

Hunter Nance the expensive one will keep your factory Bluetooth, the cheap one still gives you Bluetooth through the unit and CarPlay will still work also

Need help with sound quality. I have a 1300NEX hooked directly up to Alpine SPS-570a and it sounds awful. The highs are extremely harsh. I have watched several of you video and messed with all setting and just can't get it to sound right. The speakers are 10 years old should i look at replacing them or is the sound quality from these head units sub par?? The speakers sounded fine with stock head unit and subwoofer

They took out the adjustable backup line on the new ones. Other then that they are the same.

@@vidguy007 well Dean and Fernando don't say no, and their videos inspired me to install steering wheel controls in my base model car that didn't come with any steering wheel controls. I literally had to wire everything from scratch interfacing with a PAC SWI CP5 and it all works perfectly. PAC invented steering wheel controls so I recommend their interfaces.
