Go for the SPH-DA250DAB if you are after touch key illumination. I got the SPH-DA160DAB and unfortunate it only has 5 colours Red(Magenta), Green, Yello, Blue and White (light Blue) for the touch key illumination.

Thank you guys, unfortunately I got the 160dab cause Halfords didn't have the 250dab. They didn't know when they were getting more in, wish I waited but I became to eager to kit out my car 😂.

Superb video, I have this unit and love it. The instructions advise that you can use the cdr 33 remote control, I bought one and noticed it was infra red, but cannot see any infra red receiver on the unit. I am correct in thinking the two are not compatable?

I have an issue, my Android phone has fast charging and when I put the usb on the display shows that usb is disconnected, when I use other phones it works fine, I read that because of to much power draining the unit turns of the usb, is there a solution to that?

Depends on what your focus is. I needed multicolored key illumination and the 160 just has 5 colors, the 250 has millions.

They desperately need to do a firmware update on this unit. Since updating my phone to iOS 15 as soon as I plug my iPhone 13 pro in it does CarPlay for around 7 minutes and then reboots/restarts the system every 7 minutes on the dot no matter what you’re doing, wether that’s listening to music or having maps running. It’s super annoying! Anyone else having this issue?

Too bad there isnt a volume control knob. Also the menu has terrible framerate and is laggy, still, after all these years of development. They cheap out on processingpower. Not a good look.
