Pioneer SX-3700 Receiver - First Look and Evaluation

My Fluoroscan collection grows. This time I'm looking at an SX-3700 45wpc receiver to see what it needs for me to spend money on in order to bring it back to full working order.

Had a mint one gave to me today! I'm still blushing! I'm new to this hobby. Is there a specific turntable, speakers, etc., that goes best with it?

It's nice to see these old amps getting the love they need. SX-3700 is no SX-1980 but still a nice amp

I just picked one up still in beautiful condition cosmetically. The only issue I found was the balance is way off. Left is too loud even turned 90% to the right and cuts out when all the way right. The right volume is probably at 20% what it should be but you can barely hear it with the left being too loud. I'm not too familiar with working on these but if I knew it was just the balance knob or some other part I could probably fix it pretty easy. Does the same on A or B speakers.

i have one of these but the volume like urs is dirty and makes crackling sounds through the speakers. is it an easy fix?

Just picked one of these up a few days ago! I’m going to try to fix some similar issues. This is a brand new hobby for me so I’m looking forward to the next video! Any idea when it’ll be posted?

Just curious if you're self taught in electronic repairs? I wish I would've been into electronics when I was a kid. I wouldn't be a locksmith now which I hate.
