Hi Jp I have the prime 4 and I used to use it in stand-alone for backup. While I am not getting you to change brands just to let you know. You may know already Denon engine OS now integrates with sound switch giving your controller more capabilities. I use virtual DJ as with my sight issues along with the well lit prime 4 it's the easiest for me to see. I currently use light rider. I do have ss but feel like I will be putting all my eggs in one basket as as runs on laptop. I wanted to ask you a question about you using usb sticks. What do you do for ad-hoc requests? How big is your drive? Surely you can't carry everything, so was interested in how you deal with song requests for the latest songs. As far as your upgrade goes I would say unless there is a feature or ability the next controller has that your current one doesn't why spend the Wonga especially at this time. But then if it's quieter you will have more time to play. It's good to see video's like these to as it so easy to buy the new shiny bit of kit without justifying the purchase. Because let's be real the client want you to look good and sound good they don't care how much you spend only how much you cost. Great vid again thanks

My USB sticks are 128gb each and I have usually 3 with me. If I don’t have it I can’t play it, I don’t really do requests! I really can’t see me changing brands, it seems like hard work starting everything over again! 😎👍🏻

You should upgrade, but good luck getting an RX3. Most if not all are sold out till Jan/Feb, same situation for the XZ which has now shifted to March 😳 My RX3 arrives this Thursday, but not allowed to open it till Xmas as it’s a present 😆

Just received my RX3 - all I can say is please don't listen to the Pioneer bashers. The unit is typical pioneer built like a brick shit-house. I am 48 hours in and I loooooove it. The screen is amazing. Pioneer DJM 9000 beat and fx's all there. The finger pad built into screen is brilliant. Do not think twice. The screen alone is worth the upgrade. Not to mention auto gate for cues and the transition effects pads. You get some controllerism in a stand alone. I dont stream during sets so that is really the only + Denon has over this. Otherwise no brainer. I too am a loyal Pioneer fan.

@@RealLifeDJ If I’m lucky I get it within 2 or 3 weeks. If not, it will be in 26 weeks. The delivery time in Belgium is bad.. I think it’s because the shortage of microchips worldwide. Some people sell those RX3 second-hand for more than the new price in the store. 😨 So.. Fingers crossed. 🤞🏼

Rx3 = better sound quality, better phono preamp, screen is far more advanced than the XZ. Def a feasible upgrade.

I would switch to Denon, they are the Apple of DJ gear, compare that to pioneer as android. Yes pioneer are a strong brand but only have been around a few years (1994) were as Denon have been around a life time (1947). Denon do as they say and are reliable. Denon = Ronseal

If it ain't broke don't fix it. Stick with pioneer, what you know. I like the new features of the RX 3 so I think for you it's a no brainer to upgrade

Why would you even consider changing or that’s what they Pioneer would want you to do if you really want to look forward in venture in djing you need to do Denon Prime 4 your comment about those other DJ’s your not like them you are better than them just my opinion!!

denon is great gear if you want to stream - outside that pioneer is just a better system. Beat and color fx are all usable where the denon is not. Not sure why everyone bashes Pioneer for not jumping on streaming a lame set you did no prep for. Denon to me is more for young kid/wedding/corp dj who is going to take shitty requests and/or has no choice. Otherwise for pure DJ'ing - pioneer still rules. And by the way - I have both systems and always end up using Pioneer and denon just rots away.
