The agony of waiting for a pot to emerge is agonising…this is similar to the expectation when you do western Raku (raku-yaki)…although that process is high heat and rapid reduction…. you just never know if the pot is going to turn out how you want or risk being nothing like you hoped for…even worse breaking during the firing process…pottery and ceramics can be very temperament….just like humans.
