Thanks for the helpful video. Maybe you could answer my question.. Let's say that you have two devices paired to this stereo receiver. If only one device is in the car, does the stereo receiver detect that it is the only available device out of the two paired devices and automatically pair to that device in the car? Ideally, if I get into my car by myself, I want the stereo receiver to connect to my phone automatically. If my wife gets into the car, I want the stereo receiver to connect to her phone automatically. This feature showcased in the video perfectly tackles when we're both in the car but I'm curious how it handles the scenario I described above. Thanks!

Pioneer DEH-X6700BT gives ERROR 23 code when putting in a USB Flash drive. Have used this drive numerous times before. Just started giving code. I even formatted the USB drive and put on more mp3 files.

So still no luck, I will have to call our guy next week and see if he can give me some information.

Obviously the ERROR 23 code was related to the USB flash drive not being able to be read any longer. I put the mp3 files on another USB Fash drive and it played. But still this couldn't have been accomplished without doing a system refresh which is a thank you to you. After the system refresh the iPod played perfect again through the USB.

What I don't understand is after all this time the same falsh drive worked and still works in other devices. Just the usb in the stereo gives the error 23. I still thank you for what you have done

yeah it was nice, I might keep it, when I upgrade my radio. the display is going off often, but if you push the faceplate it comes back on for my old 7100

Is there a way you can turn the lights off of the Pioneer DEH-X6700BT?

When setting up the dimmer make sure your lights are on and the orange/ white wire has 12volts going to it. Now you can turn down the brightness, that way durning the day the screen will be brighter. We have a video on how to set it up that might help.

I bought my DEH-X6700BT in June 2015. It paired easily with my Droid. However, when I switched to a HuaWei Ascend Mate 2 cell phone, the radio flashes the correct code and my phone says it's not the correct code. Very frustrating.

You may need a software update for the radio. You can go to Pioneer's web site and check, once there do a search for your radio. The software on the radio is in the main menu. Hope this helps, Thanks for watching

Hello Guys, i bought a DEH-X6700BT, how i can change the FM frecuency Stepping?, i need to change for 50kHz or 100kHz stepping, only has jumps for 200kHz and the radio stations on pair-decimal doesn't sintonice (Ex. 103.8, 90.2, etc MHz), just sintonice the radio stations on impair (Ex. 107.7, 88.9, etc MHz). I have to take back an Alpine CDE 143BT because it doesn't work well with my Android phone (S4) when I stream, say Pandora, through it. Something is wrong with the bluetooth connectivity. I noticed a lot of other users have that same bluetooth problem with Alpine decks used with Android devices, even videos on KZbin about it. Have you guys seen or heard of Pioneer decks not being very compatible with Android phones?? I'm liking this one... thanks.

You may want to look into Kenwood Excelon radio with the " apt X". It is a premium Bluetooth chip designed to work with Android. The feature is in the KDC-x599, x799. Thank you for the question.

Well it sure is a bunch stuff. What kind of car do you have, that stuff might not fit. What type of system are you looking to build? 1-12 might not be enough bass or it may be to much.

It's a Stratus '98 (my first car, actually), so nothing great heh. It does have a pretty big trunk (i.imgur.com/BDYyZSD.jpg) but I'm not sure it'll fit either. I just want something that will sound good tbh, with a decent bass. I mostly listen to rock. Oh and thank you very much for the help/advice.

+AgiIeBeast for a single din radio I would look at the Kenwood KDC-x500. It has 6 channel RCA output and great Bluetooth. Pioneer make the GM-D8604 4 channel amp and the GM-D8601 mono block amp. These amps are reasonably priced and great performance. For speakers check out the Alpine SPS-610 for the front and the SPS- 690 for the rear. For sub's Rockford Fosgate make a 2-10 P2 box that would be great for rock. Check this stuff out and see if it is anything you like.

Nice video EXCEPT that it didn't answer my question: How do you wire the darn plug that comes with the system? I took the X6700BT unit out of the box today and (this was possibly a serious error) I actually READ the friggin manual. I understand all 26 pages of the English section EXCEPT how to wire the damn plug. I have a plug here with 13 wires coming out of it. The manual refers to only two or three of the 13. It tells me to ground the black...I can do that. It tells me to do nuthin' at all to the blue & white. I can do that. But it doesn't even tell me which is the 12 VDC input...presumably the red, but why can't these Pioneer guys show me a simple diagram that makes that clear. Or put labels on the wires??? There is a very confusing paragraph titled "Power Cord" that is no help at all. Can you guys help? Maybe refer me to a link where there is a pdf schematic identifying the wires??? I used to be a USAF radar maintenance technician, so I know I can install this thing if only I had some basic information. Thanks for any assistance you can offer.

Rereading the manual, I deduce that of the 13 wires exiting the plug only three are of any use to me. The most obvious is the Black to ground. Then the Yellow and Red, in my sailboat installation, would tie together to the ship's 12 VDC source which is circuit breaker protected. Other connections would be the four speakers with RCA plugs, and lastly the antenna as the final connection. Is this correct? (Note: I'm not planning to use the phone mic.)

Houdi2 yes Black is ground, Red is accessory power (turn off with a switch), Yellow is Battery (memory), Blue/ white is turn on ( powers up amps and power antennas), white/ white-black front left, gray/ gray-black front right, green/ green-black rear left, and purple/ purple-black rear right. All the speaker wires with a black strip are speaker grounds. If there is a yellow/black it is not used. The RCA's are line level output (low power for amplifiers) and the antenna is correct. You saved me from making some significant errors, including some resulting from my erroneous assumption that the RCAs were the 50 watt speaker outputs because of their labeling and prominence on the back of the unit. Now why couldn't Pioneer have made this clearer in their so-called owners manual?
