Scott Haggard, your story about you and your family, was very sad. To often things like this happens within families, and it IS NOT fair to the children. But let me tell you this, there is NO DOUBT that you are Merle Haggard's son, you look so much like him. From all your facial features, the way you talk and your voice. Rest your mind in peace, you are Merle Haggard's son. Your siblings have accepted you, and the Lord knows, you are Merle Haggard's Son. Loved your Father. He was rather shy and humble. Maybe due to his past, but that doesn't make any difference to those who knew and loved him. May his music continue through the ages, along with all those who went before him. "WHO'S GOING TO FILL THEIR SHOES?" No one! There is only ONE of each of them. The Generation's that grew up with their Music and Songs, this lives within our Hearts. The modern Country music of today (2017), is NOT TRUE COUNTRY MUSIC, and we all know it, and it changed around the start of the 21st Century. RIP

They asked Merle about this guy 20 years ago & Merle said he's had a couple people claim to be his kids but he didn't want to break their heart so he just let them think it. But it's not true. I talked to one of Merle's actual sons about it & he said it pisses all Merle's real kids off that this bumb is making money off their dads back but Merle said in his interview he wouldnt file a legal suit against him to make Scott stop singing his songs & lying because he "wouldn't stop a man from making a living for himself." Furthermore Scott wasn't at Merle's funeral nor was he at either of two family memorial services they had. Scott is in no way associated with the family, & the boys want him to shut his mouth but their daddy said to just let the man make a living. So Merle only has 3 sons & Scott isn't one of them.
