Hi I have a green iguana I was just wondering has Yrs gone off food at all I have a boy he's just become a man lol xx anyway any idea why this could be he comes out his house everyday so I'm trying to think why he's only eaten so much per day can u help x

I know someone else's male was always going off his food during breeding season. She had to feed him by hand. Best to contact a reptile vet though!

It is common for a male in breeding season to not eat, they also may become more aggressive and a lot more active. During this period all they are thinking about is mating and there is little time to eat. Males often loose a lot of weight during this time and pack it back on after. You can offer some of their fav treats to entice them to eat a bit. If you aren't 100% sure if your iguana is in breeding season or if it seems lethargic, please see a vet :)

It’s very common for males to just stop eating especially once hitting sexual maturity you’re little dragon is just going through a natural process

@@christiansanchez1486 OK thank you so much for your help I did take him to a vet and they also said this is why because he's in mating season and thank u everyone else for their help x stay safe.
