Thanks for the tutorial Prof. However I have something confused me, as per DNVGL F110 it is mentioned that the global lateral buckling will be happened if the compressive initiation force already reached (prior to that it will be pre-buckle configuration.After the initiation compressive force has beeen reached there will be a sudden decrease in compressive force, which I understand will be the post buckle configuration. Not sure how to relate this with the modelling explained here or how to model this DNVGL criteria of buckling. Appreciate if I can have an enlightment.

Very interesting video, thank you. I would just suggest to enlarge the area of video captured since part of the Abaqus evitronment is cut

I am getting an error In Model: Model-1, Regions of the part "Part-1" have not been assigned a beam orientation. Use "Assign-->Beam Orientation" in the property module to assign a bean orientation. When I submit the Job

I think something might be missing in the tutorial sequence. I have tried to reproduce it in Abaqus 2020 and 2023 but there is always an error and the simulation does not even start. I have tried different solvers such as Riks, and Coupled temp-displacement (both in steady-state and transient). I have tried elements B31, B31H, PIPE31 and PIPE31H with no results at all.... What version are you using to run these simulations? I thik there might be a bug in these Abaqus versions...
