i'm guessing the shack has to be more or less draft proof to protect the shielding gas. does it have an exhaust system to prevent the build up of inert gas and welding fumes?

Lmao, I sure beats standing there in one spot for hours! I Don't care how good of a welder a person thinks they are. They can't compete with an automatic welder! That thing can weld for days and incredible weld quality. Time after time, welding technologies are exploding! Want to make the big bucks welders best keep up with it!

ircimager set up x a little longer weld time is so freaking efficient that the setup and teardown it's worth the time and effort to do so that and if there's anything wrong with the world the operator sees it immediately and can stop correct the issue and continue without anybody knowing

ircimager I’m a welders helper in a shack right now and we are usually in there 5-7 min Total and that’s with buffing and grinding a bit and cutting wires etc, with five shacks we get about 100 welds a day on 36” pipe

Why do they even use manual stick welding procedures anymore. Mig is so much faster than stick why don't they use manual mig welding techniques.
