A piping system is an assembly of pipe, fittings, valves, and specialty components. All piping systems are engineered to transport a fluid or gas safely and reliably from one piece of equipment to another.
Production and process facilities have large piping systems.
All fluids and gases are moved from place-to-place through piping systems.
Petroleum pipelines transport crude oil or natural gas liquids, and there are three main types of petroleum pipelines involved in this process: gathering systems, crude oil pipeline systems, and refined products pipelines systems.
In this oil and gas information video, I explain the basic principle of pumps and pumping system and related subjects which are important process in Oil and Gas operation.

A piping system will include the following:
Pipe fittings to join sections of pipe work and control the direction of flow.
Valves to control the amount and direction of flow, and shut off the supply.
Flanges to join lengths of pipe work together, and connect pipe work to valves and fittings.
Gaskets to seal the joints in the system.
