Star Wars - 360° Virtual Reality

(ENG) Experience Star Wars in this 360º video. Watch it with maximum quality in KZbin App (updated) on iOS or Android, or Chrome on a computer. Move your phone around you to be able to look in any direction and find the hidden objects.
I was making another 3D animation about Star Wars and I stopped after I saw this 360º videos. It's really great that you can be able to look around the space. So I came with this idea, a First Person Mouse Droid, another way to see the Hangar of an Imperial Star Destroyer and how Darth Vader walk with hundreds of Stormtroopers... and Boba Fett, of course.

Então eu tive a ideia de fazer um vídeo desde o ponto de vista do Mouse Droid, uma outra forma de ver e estar no hangar de um Imperial Star Destroyer passando ao lado de Darth Vader com centos de Stormtroopers olhando... e Boba Fett, claro.

All the easter eggs I found. 1.Pipoca logo. 0:40 If you look at the boxes on the elevator you can see one box with the logo on it. 2.Rebel symbol. 0:40. If you look at the bottom of the platform that got you to the elevator you can see it. 3.Gonk droid. 0:51 If you look at the imperial transporter (the ship vader comes out of) and then to the left you can see him standing beside the boxes. 4. R2-D2. 1:13 - 1:15. If you look in the opposite direction the troopers are facing you can see him between the troopers for a couple of frames.

+MultiSmilebig I am not really good at explaining but I know that your phone has many sensors that sense how you are moving your phone or what position it is in. The videos then use these sensors and in each frame, they put in the picture of the video that the position of your phone is in AND I AM REALLY BAD AT EXPLAINING SORRY but an example would be when you are watching a youtube video on your phone and you turn your phone to full screen mode, the screen goes to full screen mode because the sensors sense what position your phone is in.

Man that is impressive. I kind of knew you could do that but never did I actually see it. It's amazing and I viewed it on my phone so I had 360 view like it said. I don't own a vr anything my self but damn would it probably look better then. Not only did you make a great video with VR but you did it with one of the most beloved franchise's in the world. You even had a small scavenger hunt for mostly bragging rights. Overall this is a great video, great job.

I think we need to be working on move intuitive ways to control these kinds of videos with desktop computers than the current system. Give us arrow key or fps style mouse based controls. That way we don't have to worry about flipping out our phone just to make the most of a 360 degree video.

Ok, if you want to view this in SBS (side by side) just click on the little Google Cardboard symbol on the bottom right. Then put on your VR headset and you're good to go. I'm going to be watching these 360° videos all frigging day!

Virtual reality won't be a big thing for another 5 years at the least. When the first consumer be headset comes out next year it's going to cost over $1000 to buy and run it with a good enough computer.
