One of the funniest TV series EVER! Joe E; Ross and Fred Gwynne are fabulous. The supporting cast are all first rate. Paul Reed as Capt. Block is just outstanding. His reactions to the situations, his 'slow burns' are classic. These folks knew what they were doing and did it so well!

I first saw this episode on TV when I was supposed to be in bed upstairs. I was four years old. My parents apprehended me because they heard me laugh at the "funny policemen". We ended up seeing the show together and laughing til tears came. (I was, of course, forgiven for my being up late.) This episode - and the one about the parrots and parakeet that learned to say, "I hate Captain Block!" have got to be my favorite two episodes of the series. Just saw this episode 1/2 hour ago - and, again, laughed til tears came. "I wanna go to Boom Boom Land!" - Hilarious!

I saw this on the first go round in Houston, Texas in the 60s and thought it was so funny that I never forgot it. I was overjoyed when I found it on KZbin 45 years later. It was every bit as hilarious as I remembered. I especially crack up when the 4 policewomen sing in the male voices. I now own both seasons on DVD. Definitely one of the funniest comedies ever, along with Seinfeld and I Love Lucy.
