An apt message for me as I had just received an invitation to come and preach at a Workers' meeting in hill country in Sri Lanka. I told that brother I would think and let you know. This message challenged me to consider every invitation after much prayers. but being a servant of God (Shepherd) I have to preach every Sunday to flock. Again prayer and preparation are indispensable.

Jer. 48:10-11 - Interesting to note that these verses were to Chaldeans if they do not bey the commandment of God in destroying the arrogant Moabites , they will be punished! Both are pagan countries yet sovereign JHWH uses one pagan country to punish other pagan country, and then punishes the punished! Here the context clearly suggests that sword id literal sword. But this verse is solemn warning to all the Elect if they do not take God's ministry seriously they will be disciplined.
