Yes! It can _sort of_ be countered, just not with Leroy/Poison. If the opponent taunts only one very weak minion, your left-most minion won't die in the initial attack. In this way the +8 won't carry over to your 2nd, 3rd, etc left most minions down the chain. At least not until your 1st minion dies. This can mess up the scallywag synergy. If your first minion doesn't die, your second minion's scallywag summon won't get the +8 buff.

One interesting synnergy I'd like to point out, is that the flagbearer gives all your minions deathrattle. And if all your minions have deathratlle, you know what you have? You have infinite prime mate money. I've had several games with prime mate being my whole economy, and I have to say, even if you have 3 or 4 deathrattle minions die, it is a LOT of extra gold. It can go out of control very easy

im not gonna lie, the new cruise controlman isnt the combo i started thinking about when you showed the flagbearer -- i think the scallywag tokens are going to be way better as enablers for ripsnarl and eliza than doing damage themselves.
