The 5 minute epoxy got so hot because there were 6 batches mixed together. The chemical reaction happens too quickly when mixed in "large amounts". Doing thinner layers of 2 or 3 tubes will lessen the heat and hopefully prevent possibly melting a project. Wonderful creation!
