Fantastic! I'm loving these pirate builds. Seems to me that one of the cosmetic things the game could use are path arches with open doors attached. Or at least, a collection of themed doors that could be added to the arches, to make more realistic looking facades.

Yeah! Completely agree.. I've tried 'hanging' doors from archways, but the size just isn't right :S

One ride that would fit perfectly either on that Island or as a transition between the newer west and the pirate theme would be the venetian carausel. It is is in the same style as the swings but it is also more "clean" looking so it could fit on the zone in between.

We need that "Pirate Boat" ride. Id kill for the addition of a Pirates of the Carribean type water "track" ride. I know Pirates is basically a boat log flume and people have been making this type of ride with the river rapids. But it would be great if one of them was added. As for the track rides... well I keep hoping they will do a DLC that adds "car choices". I remember in one of the RCT we could change the car types on coasters. Love the Lets Build series, wish there were more of them and less Lets Play >

Yeah, we are gonna do a logflume with pirate themeing next... but a proper 'boat' ride would be great... As for more of these and less let's plays, unfortunately these take a lot longer to make, and if I only did these I'd have 1 video a week... somewthing KZbin doesn't like. So the let's plays are a way to have a bit of fun and 'fill the gap' in between these :)

Another amazing build.. Your creativity astounds me and you are my favourite Planet Coaster gamer on KZbin. When/if you do a coaster in the Pirate area, I think a runaway train (perhaps a mine train which the pirates have captured) could be kinda cool as the theme of the coaster. Also, what other theme's for the park do you have in mind? Thanks for posting these videos!

Thanks Dylan! That's really nice to hear :) I'm thinking a hybrid coaster for the pirate area, we already have a mine train in the western area, so two may be overkill... But a pirate battle style coaster I think will work well! Other areas I want to do here are the main themes: SciFi, Fantasy and Spooky. Then we will work on a second park with more varied themes :)

I know this video is two years old, but a real theme park probably wouldn't use a cross in it's decor nowadays since that's just a PR nightmare waiting to happen. Anytime you see a church, it's almost always a generic place of worship or some sort of fantasy thing.

"Go-Away Green" Jonti :) And hey, I wonder...if you used the water spout/splash effects to "trigger" as the boat swings to and fro as if it were splashing THROUGH a wave each way, would that be doable? Not sure it would be right for this great area, but in other parks/applications that ride could sit in a pool and...?

Great video once more. I like the "blown backside of the church"-idea since otherwise it would have been a weird church ;-) For my taste, the fairy-tale roofs look a bit too "heavy" for this theme but yeah, what's the alternative? And in the end (glamour shots) it still turns out quite nicely. And again, many nice ideas which might (or let's say: most likely will) influence my further builds.

Jonti, a lot of preshow areas are also safety briefings---the first that comes to mind is StarTours, which has a funny one kind of spoofing airline pre-flights. Here's a shot of it--and it is also used to pre-load the load area while the prior "flight" is under way. Of course, the stretching room was to accomplish a practical reality--getting guests UNDER the train track and berm that surrounded the original limits of the public area of the park and INTO the "show building" behind them. In Florida when they didn't have that issue, they built it so the roof LIFTS instead of the floor going down because it is cheaper and easier to raise a faux roof than to lower 100 guests in a massive elevator. Universal Studios also does a LOT with pre-shows, with some of the movie celebs involved. For example Steven Spielberg is featured in the video pre-show for the E.T. attraction.

i dont get why the pirate ship ride has to be soooo big in planet coaster (like 80% of all other rides) and it is soooo bad. its one of the smallest ride in RCT and here its unnecessarily huge, plus the stats are so bad and no one wants to play it -,-
