We're animals with golden rules who can't be moved by rational views....quite possibly the best lyric ever written.

crazy to think a band who had so much inner conflict in the beginning is still around all these years later STILL making great hits and not becoming a nostaliga act but actually still going strong with their message. They make it look easy.

Ever since I heard this song (2013/2014, or even earlier for all I know), it has basically proven to me that it was an accurate prediction of what was/currently is happening. Shit is crazy and out of fucking control in many respects. This song predicted "The New Dark Ages", which are current times.

@pirateking37 Y'arrr, matey! Yes my comment is you spelled 'susurrations' erroneously. I wouldn't have mentioned it except I'm sort of a stickler; plus I noticed you asked for a commet(I'm believing you meant 'comment' lol) and you did correct 'plunge' so there's that. I voted "Like" - I don't have the 'stars' system to rate with - but thanks so much, cool song! Avast and avack! Batten the hatches, ... y'arrrr!

Why is it bad to sing about peace. Just because songs of bad times can be good dose not mean that other types of music that don't agree have to be bad.

So acording to u the hole Renaissance never happened. From the age of exploration. The philosophical break throughs like hobbs, locke and ruessou ideas. The invention of the printing press not to mention the reformation and ideas about religion. Have u herd the name Martin Luther before outside of the 60s Martin.

I agree so much with the lyrics but not the comments. Doesnt say god aint there, just that religion is fucking us. I like to have philosophical thoughts about god and stuff, especially because everything just "fits" (engineer here). Also, yeah we do a fucking golden rule we are the only animals truly aware of our existence, of the existence of everything. Humans are so fucking awesome

@BlueDinosaur457 The Beatles didn't start rock. They started a genre of rock called psychedelic rock. The Byrds and the Yardbirds also helped to start it up. While there is a lot of debate, Jackie Brenston's Rocket 88 is generally considered the first rock song(1951). However, among all of debate, Elvis is generally considered to have given rock the largest push forward.
