There were pirates in the Baltic sea as well, primarily during Medieval times. The island of Gotland was a known stronghold for pirates.

Iceland got raided as well, by what is believed to be Armenian pirates. At the time though, they thought they were Turkish, and it is commonly known as the 'Turkish robbery'. Up until recently, there was a law that allowed you to kill a turk on sight.

Yes, they were indeed Turkish, Arab, Moorish and other Mediterranean, almost exclusively Muslim pirates, coming from the North African Barbary Coast. It is highly unlikely for them to have been Armenians, unless they had abandoned their homeland to go to the Mediterranean or the Atlantic Ocean and had converted to Islam.

Once again, a very interesting video! Regarding the northern trade routes, it would be nice if you cover the medieval Hanseatic League and the early modern Muscovy Company, both of which predate the Dutch and English India Companies.
