Being a Californian, I've been to Disneyland countless times, but I've gone to Disney World about eight times I believe (all in the past 10 years). I have to agree with Brian on Pirates. Each has their charm but I give Disneyland the nod on this.

I'd like to see a comparison of Space Mountain! Also I've never been to Universal so I can only assume that there are shared rides between Orlando and Hollywood and differences unique to them, but I'd love to see a Universal VS if that's the case!

I've said for years the perfect pirate ride would be to have Disney World's que attached to the ride of Disneyland. I hope you will cover twin attractions that may no longer exist in one park or the other, such as Country Bear Jamboree, or ones that have changed like Tropical Serenade.

I would LOVE to see a Disneyland vs Disney World battle of the Haunted Mansions. Absolute favorite must-ride attraction ever. As for the Pirates battle, Disneyland would be superior in my opinion.

I've never been on the The Pirates of the Caribbean ride. My family and I went to Disney World when I was 7 years old and it was closed. Keep in mind this was back in 1989.

I just went to Magic Kingdom for the first time last month. I was shocked at the differences between the two pirates. I love the queue area at Magic Kingdom, I’d like to see it brought to Disneyland. I agree with you that the Disneyland one is better. I’ve ridden that at least a few dozen times. I love the bayou section. I’ve heard people getting the dining guest to throw them a roll from their dinner and catching it on the boat. I love the two drops, it’s very exciting. And the ending section with the burning buildings is so real. Floating into the queue area is fun. I can’t wait to go back to Disneyland and make it all better in my mind.

I love Pirates regardless but having grown up going to Disneyland and going to Disney World for the first time this summer the Disneyland one is ten times better and I feel the charm of the ride a lot more. That being said those growing up on the East coast with nothing else to compare it to I can see why it would be amazing to them. If not everyone should see the atmosphere around the Disneyland version at least once! I love the restaurant by the ride and the opening boat ride!

You already probably knew this, but the chest at “Land” in the room with the skeleton sitting in the gold pile is the actual prop Aztec chest from POTC: COTBP. They added it in for the 50th anniversary back in 2005

Dang, I could use a Disney gift card for my trip next week! Oh well! Also, did you know that in the Disney World version, the last scene with Captain Jack Sparrow, he's actually sitting in a chair from the Haunted Mansion movie? Also, the boats that are used at World's version were actually made for Disneyland's version! You can also see a skull as you come up on the skeleton scene! And totally keep doing this series, seems and sounds fun to compare! You should compare both Haunted Mansions, Jungle Cruises, Space Mountains, Big Thunder Mountain Railroads, Splash Mountains, Both Dumbos vs. Magic Carpets and TriceraTops Spin, Buzz Lightyears, Tomorrowland Speedway/Autopia, Peoplemovers (jk, I'm so sorry for Disneyland's loss), Matterhorn vs. Expedition Everest, Winnie the Poohs, Peter Pan's Flights, Small Worlds, Little Mermaids, Dinosaur vs. Indiana Jones Adventure (samne ride systems), Test Track vs. Radiator Springs Racers (same ride systems), Kali River Rapids vs. River Run (same rides), Tower of Terror vs. Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout!, Frozen Sing-Along vs. Frozen Live at Hyperion Theater, Web Slingers vs. Toy Story Mania on both coasts (same kind of ride), Soarin' Over California vs. Soarin' Around the World, and I think that's all your ideas to pick from. I know it's a lot, but I want and need all of these compared just to know your opinion!

I agree that Disneyland has the superior version. There are two comments I want to add about how the POTC movies have further connections to the California park. In the first movie, when Barbossa is explaining to Elizabeth about the curse, he steps into the moonlight and becomes a skeleton, then he raises a bottle to his mouth, but the wine falls uselessly through his bones. I have often commented to people that anyone who has been to the Florida version only would not realize that moment is an homage to the ride. In the second movie, when they go to meet with Tia Dalma, they go where? Into a bayou. I was impressed that they tied that part of the ride into the movie universe.

I’m a Disney World girl, 1.because I live in Florida and 2. Because I have more fond memories at this park. Even I can admit Disney Land Pirates is better than ours, it has more atmosphere and storytelling. But Brian, seriously, on a side note, you need to check out videos of Shanghai Disney Pirates…it will blow your mind!

I grew up in Southern California. I’ve been to Disneyland many times, but I never saw WDW. I had a chance to go to WDW for an 8th grade graduation trip, but I caught the Norovirus that spring and my parents didn’t want me going to Florida after recovering from such a serious illness. My twin brother and was grounded from going because he had been playing hooky. The silver lining to this was that our classmates and teachers told us we dodged a bullet, the trip was a disaster.

One thing I like better about Disney World’s (I prefer Disneyland’s) is that last scene with Jack Sparrow. Your boat usually gets stuck waiting to unload right there and you can check it out for longer, while at Disneyland I guess they didn’t have room so you only get a quick peek before continuing up the ramp. Still, Disneyland wins.

Very cool video. I am from Germany and only been to Disneyland Paris but they have a pirates of the Caribbean attraction too. Seems to me they've taken the best from America in combination because you have a really cool fortress as queue line and the dining/bayou scene at the beginning followed by a few skeletons and then you are in Tortuga. After the prisoners with the dog you see the whole city burning before you go down into the treasure cave where Jack sparrow awaits you.

The Bayou part is my FAVE!!!! It's been a dream of mine to sit and eat at that restaurant you observe in the ride!~ It is set up soo nicely that it almost looks like another set but to know it's actually a working REAL restaurant just adds to the whole experience. I've never been to DisneyWorld but to know I got to experience the better version of the ride makes me feel better LOL!

I've been on the original Pirates in the California park (I can never remember which is Disneyland and which is Disneyworld. It's a lot easier to just go by California or Florida.) but that was before the movies existed so there was no Jack Sparrow character back then. I haven't seen the ride since the updates they did after the success of the films. I've never seen the Florida park at all, that's all the way on the side of the country from where I live though I do have a cousin who works in that park.
