Push guitar body towards yourself with the help of right elbow. That way you don't have to press strings too hard from left hand and left hand index finger will work as a support rather than taking all the pain. After a while you doesn't even need left index finger. Then you can practice over hand over their guitar neck. it's been an year ... So might help any new guitarist

You need to work on the quality of your product, first record the guitar in a studio or your closet at 3 am using a good condenser microphone and don’t rush the things, process the recorded audio, use fl or ableton or logic or anything but get your product game up!
