That whole asmongold situation could not be further from the reality of the game, it was a low lvl ganking another low lvl without any consequence, the reality is no one is doing that at higher lvls, there is no real open world pvp. The reality is they are going so hard on corruption that basically does the same as having pvp toggle on or off, no one wants corruption. Everyone just stays in their lane and try tag bating once in while. Watch GrappLr searching for pvp videos, the game is just awkward. This just sucks... youre allowing pvp without actually allowing pvp All you are doing is essentialy pushing the rules to "toggle" anyway because no one wants to be corrupted and no one is flagging up Focus on guild / group even 1on1 declaration of wars instead Make it toggle on and off, while On has increased XP and Drops chance so people are rewarded for the risk and actually have a real incentive to flag up Turn certain Farming areas and Open World Dungeons into PvP On zones. This does not work in WoW because theres noooo incentive to flag up and the their pvp combat is beyond pure trash dogpoo vomit I like the idea of no toggle, but it does not work when to counter griefing you have to go full throttle on corruption, negating the whole PvP point, its basically forcing everyone to "toggle off"

AoC game crashes every time I am logging in to a realm even if I have a 10k$ expensive customized PC. It is impossible to play this game and the support team was totally useless in solving my problems while I can play any released game on Steam without crashing. AoC didn't want to give me free embers for having problems with their super expensive alpha keys, which I strongly not recommend to people since I cannot really play... All I can do is access the character creation.

There has been several very clear statements, that the cosmetics won't ever be immersion breaking. If I got it right it will be item models that are already in the game, but with more exotic looks. Plus item models of npc's

a safe approach to this would be gear customization instead of actual gears. This could also mean that the team could release ugly gears to encourage players to buy customization but I just hope they dont. Rare in-game gears wont lose it's value and you can give them your own touch to make it personally yours. Be it color, size or a more indepth gear customization similar to a character creator.

You don’t need soul bound items if they become damaged and need to be repaired. All you have to do is increase the repair cost over time to make it worthwhile trying to reacquire it at some point and devalue its resale. As long as an item will continue to lose value over time, you don’t have to worry about saturating the market.

This. Without an impactful repair system item bloat will become massive problem. If repairing is enough of cost then it allows people to recycle lower tier items instead of wasting time/materials for repairs.

In Dark Age of Camelot ( game from 2001) items had durability. Everytime you repaired an item, it lost some durability. When it reached 0%, it was useless. Easy fix.

You could play on the other side of the server from a guild like this (every server will have a similar size group) and you may not interact with them for weeks or months. The no-fast-travel design is hard to understand until we get the full map in later testing phases.

at the moment its not bad since the server is working together for testing but if they broke the alliance and started killing everyone it would get old fast since everywhere you go there is a few groups of them running around, and i mean everywhere. With just the riverlands you dont go 5-10 mins without seeming an "Actual Pirate *insert roman numeral*". They already had one annoying moment where they made the same stupid jokes about one guild they dont like, spamming global chat for 30mins to an hour straight drowning out people who were legitimately asking for help or just questions. Definitely dont want to be on a release server with them

Considering the hype for the game almost every server will have a mega guild. The entire game is based around player interactions so obviously the player will eventually group up in large factions. Think of real world countrys as an example.

I REALLY wish there was no transmog system. That was one of the downfalls of WoW for me. Being able to look at someone and go, “wow that guy looks sick. He must have accomplished something great” is a massive part of progression in my opinion. It also gives a visual queue someone’s power level.

I've never liked transmog. I like to watch gear progression actually make a visable change. Both for myself, and others. Sure sometimes youll look homeless... but when you find something cool looking it feel great. For pvp I want to be able to know if an enemy is wearing some god-teir item. Military nodes do not depend on the size of the guild in any way. However, guilds are the driving force of this world and these are development options. You can have a military PVP guild, or you can have a rich merchant guild. "The "Big Guild" will not be able to keep up with all the business.

So $15 to me is much more valuable than $15 in Colorado. These 3 years they have been developing tools for UE 5 that generate biomes, they talked about it. After creating these tools, generating new biomes will become much easier and faster. All that's left is to add content: mobs, NPCs, buildings, quests. The biome itself will be generated pretty quickly.

They don't have to recreate their network/UI/GameEngine/Class Design/ etc to create a new zone. If if where polishing that stuff one biome is more than enough. ...

In 20 years this game will still be on beta and we will still have content creators talking about how this game will revolutionize the game industry. Ashes, Citizen, Paralives and so on are games that understood that the "community" economy is the way to make money online. And, to be fair, I dont believe people care about it. Dont don't really want a game, they just want the feeling and the community itself... So who i am to judge? played the game for 3 weeks and only been killed once, it's not an issue, plus they are meant to be making pvp an option and not mandatory

The ones ingame now are in the payed early aplha access to help the game, test the game and this *first time in the mmo experience* mostly and embracing the content amd the feeling. No guilds yet, no boredom, no breaking the system. No content for streams of the expense of others, no exploiting, no ganking of nobodies (Only streamers like asmongold) And even NOW you have been killed once and once the game is out and the first month has passed, this will change drastically. For someone coming home and wanting to embrace and feel and play the world, this is a quitting moment, gone forever, as soon a better or equal game without PvP comes along. Either PvP becomes becomes an option or the game a shade of what it could be. And this is not an opinion, this are the cold hard facts based on other PvP-MMOs like Darkfall, Mortal Online 1 and 2.
