Can piriformes syndrome cause pain on the front tight or groin when lifting knee toward the chest ? Thanks in advance.

Hi there! Pain in the front of the hip and in the groin may be caused by a number of conditions. Often, impingement or problems with the hip joint will cause pain in those locations. The piriformis muscle commonly causes discomfort in the buttock and/or toward the side of the hip. Since, however, a number of conditions could be causing your symptoms, it would be best to consult with your doctor to correctly identify the specific cause. Best!

Inertia Medical thanks , I did check it out at an orthopedic and at a PT clinic, they both said I have huge range of hip motion and all hip tests they did turned out negative ! By the way X ray shows normal and no pain when running, climbing or waking.

Yes it is connected. The low back pain the hips and the knee are all connected.
