I went to Peru when I was little a lot (mom is Peruvian) and loved Cuzco and huraz! So exciting knowing you did this trip with a toddler. I have a 4 month old and am planning to take her next year when she’s almost 2!

Hi Stephanie! Thanks for watching and sharing your story. ❤️ This sounds like an exciting reunion for you, and your little one! I'm glad this video makes the trip seem more possible. Sometimes the idea of children and travel (especially children + mountains!) can seem impossible. But really it can be the trip of a lifetime for you both. Please have the very best time and let us know if we can answer any questions once you get to the planning stages. I don't think KZbin has a messaging function, but you can reach us on Instagram: instagram.com/findingsalas 😁

How did you get back from Pisac? Another taxi ?
@FindingSalasАй бұрын
Great question! Yes, another taxi, but there are many waiting -- either in town if you hike down the mountain to town, or at the entry of the park if you choose to just hike around the nearby trails. Taxis are critical to getting around the Sacred Valley, so taxi drivers are also very comfortable quoting you a flat fee to take you to one or more places, wait for you, and/or guard your belongings if you happen to have luggage with or items for the next section of the day that you don't want to immediately carry with you. Any other questions, please do let us know. Safe travels!

Thank you so much for the quick reply. I really appreciate it. Gearing up for my 2025 trip to Pisac. One of the best videos I’ve seen. You guys rock.

@@NFT_TXwow, what a kind thing to say! Thank you. This was one of our first vlogs too, so thank goodness it makes some sense. Pisac is truly enchanting, and just a fraction of the people you'll see at Machu Picchu, which makes it feel even more special having it a bit more to yourself (especially if you can go on a weekday). Please let us know if you have any other questions. Safe travels! ❤️

Any recommendation for company’s for hiring private taxis there?
@FindingSalas2 жыл бұрын
Hello, and great question! Taxis are very plentiful, easy to hail around town, and many wait near the main square if you're nearby. We stayed a handful of blocks from the historic district but never had to wait more than a few minutes to grab one, inducing heading out of town. Just be sure to grab a licensed one, and you'll be able to tell by the stickers in the front windshield and/or taxi numbers indicated on the doors. We were typically able to arrange for them to hang around for a period of before they took us back to Cusco. However, during this particular day we were staying for a good portion of the day so we just grabbed another one in Pisac town at the base of the mountain, which was the end of our hike. But if you're only visiting the upper portion of the archeological park where the ruins are, there are plenty of taxis who hang around the entrance. Uber also operates in Cusco and throughout Peru. Or, were you hoping for a driver who is also a guide? Please let us know if you have other questions. Happy travels!
