The part in the beginning (and also the outro) is another "song" of the album. About 50% of "Nightfall in Middle-Earth" are such interludes which are used to tell more aspects of the different stories. I just put them into the video for they belong together.

This song always brings tears to my eyes. But that might be that the fifth battle is one of the most saddening parts in the Silmarillion.

Probably my favorite song from this album. I always imagine an army marching into battle as the song closes to the drum beat and the chanting.

Poor Húrin. Looks like this song brings back so many bad memories he disliked it.

Those 3 dislikes must be from Hurin and his children.

@SednaOfAnterra The interludes of "Nightfall in Middle-Earth" were spoken by Norman Eshley and Douglas Fielding while Sozin's voice is Ron Perlman. But I never watched the series, so I have no answer to your question. Sorry...

Which one voiced Morgoth? Asking because the voice who plays Morgoth in this album is my default mental conception of what Morgoth sounds like.

John Whitesell Imagine Morgoth being voiced by Ron Perlman, that would be epic.

It pisses me off to no end that this song isn't on Spotify, and the part of this amazing album that IS on Spotfy, are live versions.

I don't think the record company wants them on there or were offered enough money. It does suck that their old albums aren't on there, given how amazing they are. I discovered this band 10 years ago by a friend and still my favorite.

Amazing song. Strange this sounds like a triumphant song of good conquering evil, but it's the opposite. This album sounds epics through my Woo Audio WA7 + T90's.

Depends on which side you fight. For the Twisted and Wicked minds Morgoth is the only one good God and its worth fighting for him because you can earn so much

The only thing that really bugs me is that transition from The Steadfast & A Dark Passage has a few seconds in between which the album doesn't really have

The iTunes version of this doesn't have the part in the beginning. :( Kind of disappointing, but still awesome! :D

It's a separate track on the album, Nightfall in Middle-Earth.
