Commitment When my fearful, grieving heart and my put-upon, rattling lungs wake me in the pre-dawn gloom it is best, I have learned to get up before distorted, black thoughts masquerading as truth sink their claws in This is not a time for the mind Tiptoeing, ever so quietly I make my way to the back door open it with a creak and enter the world of clicking geckoes and moths that flutter unseeing and unafraid right up to my face Bamboo rustles in greeting and bird calls announce the time A world where Great Mother still unseen but now very much felt whispers 'hold on to me' In that moment I decide that I can, after all recommit and make it through another day of this journey with all its terrors, exhaustion mystery and beauty

Wow, bringing it home, very inspirational and understanding of the human condition. Been quite a winter of slips and slides, back into old habits, not doing the work or unable to push through that resistance, but knowing there is nothing back there, so making efforts to continue but it's not flowing, but knowing that just going through the motions really counts and matters regardless of how you feel, so trying anyway, maybe fearing the new and the responsibilities that come with that. Feeling like a stupid chicken-shit because I can't go back but I'm scared to let go and continue the good work. It's so full of grief and sadness.
