Four months ago, my husband was diagnosed with ALS. I had been working part-time for the past three years at our local hospital and absolutely loved my job working in Outpatient Registration as well as the ER. Problem is, it doesn't pay well, so i started looking for a new job. Within a week, i found a full-time position at a competing hospital. I'm waiting for my background check to clear so I can start next Monday. I'm excited for the new role, but I am not happy that I'm having to reinvent my life again 😢 The pressure is immense for me to succeed and take over as the breadwinner for my family.
