I have that same reel it use to be called the venom check out there travel rod. I use it when we go to Colorado and Broken Bow, to trout fish. Still waiting on that call for those awesome shirts hit me Up when you get them in and Thanks for what you do for us with your channel.

I’ve used a baitcaster reel and it didn’t last long it fell apart after like 6 months

Piscifun reels are cast in the same factory as Diawa. Your experience would be subject to the model, the abuse it took… And probably the age of design. I’m not doubting you have problems, but I’ve had problems with my Penn reels. When you’re talking about mechanical moving parts and water… You just never know. I’ll definitely put these reels through their paces. We’ll see what these new designs are like over time. Thanks for the input.

They are a small to mid-size company, very popular, and they sell out almost Immediately when they receive orders in. They’ve increased warehouse sizes twice in the last year. And their orders are enormous but they still sell out. You’ve got to reach out to them and they will let you know when their order comes in and you can get right on it

Your suppose to use 2-3ft of mono/flouro backing than to braid so you don’t have the slippage 🤦🏻

Not if you have that rubber anti-slip ring on the better quality spinning reels.

Not sure if you are new to fishing or just trolling but that is not a very smart to way to line a reel. Very easy to just tie an overhand knot or any knot for that matter then just stick a small piece of electrical tape to hold the line while you get it started spooling. If you are new to fishing I hope this helps but if you are trolling just move along.

Ryan Rigdon Actually, that is the correct way to spool braid. Do it with a backing first, than uni knot or alberto knot to your braid.

There is no right way, there’s more than one way to skin a cat. There’s multiple ways to do that,

1iving2di3 might want to use google....there are several “right” ways to tie braid on spinning reels to a avoid slippage...🤫
