The Commonwealth of Dominica has begun robust efforts to align with the Enhanced Transparency Framework (ETF) established under the Paris Agreement, with support from the Partnership Initiative for Sustainable Land Management (PISLM). PISLM joined the t think it was Ministry of Environment, Rural Modernization, Kalinago Upliftment and Constituency Empowerment to host a one-day workshop on Wednesday 31, July 2024 , that supports the country in preparing its Biennial Update Report (BUR1) and Biennial Transparency Report (BTR1).
The workshop emphasized the critical roles of the various stakeholders for successful implementation, particularly in terms of capacity building and ongoing stakeholder engagement.
The inception workshop was facilitated by Ms. Martina Duncan- Climate Finance Specialist and Consultant at the Partnership Initiative for Sustainable Land Management (PISLM) . Her presentations focused on institutional arrangements and procedures for reporting to the United Nations and the specific information required for developing the Biennial Update Report (BUR1) and Biennial Transparency Report (BTR1). The Partnership Initiative for Sustainable Land Management (PISLM), stands ready and willing to continue to assist Caribbean Small Island Developing States (CSIDS) like Dominica in its journey towards enhanced transparency and climate resilience.
