Pismo Clamming Technique and Tips

Poke your fork parallel to shore. When you feel something hard put your foot over it when start shuffling your foot to dig down to it, while simultaneously planting your fork off to the left within reach. So if you pick up a short clam, you can immediately bury it behind the fork by pressing it down into the sand while rocking the fork back and forth. Then keep shuffling for more clams in the same hole.
