It's 'cause they're caged eggs. I grew up with my mum only ever buying caged eggs, and I grew up beleiving I hated eggs. Once I tried a free range egg I never ate another caged egg. Turns out they just taste really bad, and they also have practically no nutrients compared to free range. I get that they're cheaper but damn what's the damage in spending an extra quid to get some decent eggage.

I have to rewind the egg cracking bit to see if she had added water to the bowl prior. The beaten eggs looked soo watered down and there's no water involved. Back in the days before caged eggs vs blah blah blah eggs is a thing, I have used caged eggs and still none ever looked watery. I am confused. I have had yolks that are pale though.
