Cute, Having the D-6 operator run slow in first gear while appearing to be "Bullied" by the rookie racer. Run the dozer like it's meant to be ran on a coal pile and it will more than keep up. Plus the spinning tracks on the PB won't last long at all, even in coal.

That's cute. He's grooming the pile. Are they going to ski down it?

No blowing it up is the goal i think.

Except the snow cat wouldn't last long in anything but snow,maybe silage or grain...but nothing rough and compacted

End of the day snow cat is wore out ready for overhaul. Pretty impressive though

It can't do that for 1000s of hours like the cat, be totally shot in a day or 2

If they got an actual dozer operator and not a plant wannabe operator. The dozer would be able to get shit done

PB may be pushing faster but hes pushing less material. I'd be running that D6 in third gear pushing like a boss!

Not up hill with a full blade in 3rd

@@wvboy0311 been running a dozer for a long time. Was in a 650 Deere last month stripping top soil, pushed it up hill with a full blade no problem in third gear.

Sean Dupuie yeah and wreck the transmission.
@seandupuie35524 жыл бұрын
@@RiverValleyAcres um, that's what they are made for. To push dirt. Been on one for 15 years, I know when a machine is being pushed beyond it's limits. And also it was a relatively new machine, it downshifts automatically based on the load put on the machine.
@RiverValleyAcres4 жыл бұрын
Sean Dupuie how do you set it to do that? I didn’t think it could. I know a lot of cat dealers will lock 3rd gear out. I always use it in reverse but got tore up for it on a job where a dozer hand went down a hill in reverse in a brand new 8t and tore the transmission up.

The d6 moves three times the material in one pass

For every one blade full of d6 is 2 of the other one what a joke. How hard would it be to get parts for it
@wvboy03114 жыл бұрын
If that 6t is in 2 it all it wants hes getting full blades but not loosing as much as the red thingy

Not sure who the Dozer driver is but not gonna call him an operator. That was a 2nd or 3rd gear run easy.
@kknox6074 жыл бұрын
It's never going to move the amount of material that cat can do.

Of course the snow cat is going to out preform the dozer it ways less but also the person holding the camera was standing in front of the dozer causing it to move slower an the snow cat had nobody in front of him to slow it down

is schon klar das die bude schneller vorwärts geht, leider ist dann auch der verschleiß der ketten ziemlich hoch. fahr selber auch so ein teil zum kies einschieben, pro woche sind mindestens 2 stege zu wechseln. by.the.way > eine neue kette kostet 20k €

Pistenbully is the equivalent of a 16yr old with Vtec sticker on a Honda... desperately trying to prove it's faster/better than a machine designed to do more than short term seasonal work, in more favorable conditions, at about 1/3rd the duty cycle.
