It seems to me that it is possible to do a rotation with both Cade Cunningham and Jaden Ivey starting. You just need to keep one of them on the floor at all times. The Bulls did this with Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen who were functionally their point guards . The Pistons did this with Isiah Thomas and Joe Dumars, and also with Joe Dumars and Grant Hill you can have both players, who are the primary ball handlers for the entire game starting. You just bring shooting guards off the bench and slide them over to give them breaks.

That's exactly what's going to happen. JB already elaborated on the staggering of Cade & Ivey in which he made that analogy relative towards Mitchell & Garland. Once Cade sits, Ivey will play spurt mins at PG. JB even gave a brief breakdown on how he would utilize Ivey via prioritization.

Ausar as a starting SHOOTING GUARD and being one of if not the worst shooter in the league is laughable with averages of 18% from 3 and 59% from ft line. Ausar cant play in a lineup with a non floor spacing big the team will struggle mightily because of horrid floor spacing making life extremely difficult for Cade and Ivey

Ausar has 0 30 point games Ivey has multiple Ausar lead the pistons to 0 wins his rookie season Ivey was at the focal point of offense in majority of the teams win his rookie season and even this past year with all the scrutiny he had to deal with. Ivey made a rookie team and got a rising stars invite in both his 1st and 2nd season Ausar didn’t make a rookie team at all and got no rising stars invite while leading the League in airballs and shooting 18% from 3 and 59% from the ft line Ivey also got drafted from a prestigious college being Purdue not a glorified aau league where KZbinrs call the games

Start Cade, Ivey, Harris, Reed, Duren. Bench is Sasser, Beasley, Fontecchio, Thompson, (Tolu Smith, or some developmental center, along with Duren and Reed playing some backup center minutes also) Holland is the 11th guy in the rotation, Klintman the 12th. Both are very versatile defenders; time can be found for them simply by giving a few of the minutes to them, from each of Beasley, Fontecchio, Reed, Ivey, Harris, Sasser, Thompson. All bench units can be awesome, if you have the right players for it. We have plenty enough depth this time around to have both an awesome starting unit, and an awesome second unit. If you want to Cade be a spot up shooter, use this unit: Sasser, Ivey, Cade (at small forward), Thompson, Duren. (Or, Klintman, or Reed at power forward if you want more 3 point shooting in the unit.

Killian Hayes lover Ku really trying to push the Ivey off the bench non sense smh Ivey is a combo guard not a pure point he played off the ball at Purdue and was drafted as a 2. Marcus Sasser will be the backup pg it’s a reason he was getting those reps in summer league and showed signs last season as well. The pistons traded up in the draft to get Sasser used assets to get him and the front office must see was he worth those assets they gave up to take him in the 1st round

Ivey has high potential but was considered a positionally versatile guard capable of playing PH and SG. Sasser has the potential to be a PG but Ivey is much better at initiating the offense. Sasser is actually better as a SG so far. I don't see Sasser playing when the team is healthy. But Sasser will be the third string PG
