Lucky dog! That's awesome riding on that line on the footplate. I'd probably trade my soul just about for that!! You had the 2nd best seat in the house. It would've only gotten better if you got a chance to run on the left side the best seat! Thanks for sharing it!

Hi Aidan, sorry only just got back to you , in answer to your question I got on the footplate due to the fireman being my son, he's got me on the footplate a number of times in the past but since the Wooten Basset incident there's been a tightening up of who's allowed on the engine and unfortunately I'm not one of them.
