Does the texture prevent grip/slippage on fabric specifically? For example if I set it on my couch, will it slide around/down into the cracks, or will it pretty much stick in one spot? Also is it difficult to slide in and out of pants pockets?

If it is on its back and the case is on the fabric it will stay put. But, the case does not have a screen lip and so glass down will allow it to slip off like a greased pig on a slide. Thanks for watching.

Does it protect the screen? Like raised edges

The edges fold over onto the edge of the screen. This makes the case slim, stylish and wonderful in the hand. Screen protection is minimal however, but when using slim cases it is essential to use a good quality screen protector. Thanks for watching.
