You're the man!! I had the Erh error on an Austin XL and I used the link in your description and order the probe. It's so accurate now, I could bake a cake.. Now I need to watch a KZbin vid to fix the washer

Just replaced mine on a Pro Series 850. Went just like you said. Even better, I was able to get the old probe out without cutting the zip tie in the control box. Thanks for the video! Now I can be a “holiday hero” by making a pork butt for Christmas.

Thanks so much. Our Pit Boss developed a wild temperature swing after only a dozen uses - pit boss sent us a new probe and your video was short and to the point for how to replace it. Currently cooking two sirloins on it, so it seems to have fixed the problem!

Have the PB850ps2 just got my probe for free from pitboss. Gonna switch it when it arrives. I just dont understand why this is even happening. The customer service agent kinda just wanted to get me a new probe and thats it like they know about this issue. They say to cook with the gate closed.

@@MotorCityMetalArt got it at lowes and they assembled it. It worked great the first time and then after about the third time it started giving ErH and now it is giving ErP. We got it in the first week of May 2024.

Just took a Dremel with a wire wheel to the tip where most buildup was and fixed it in 1 min.

A new control board didn't fix my ERH so a new probe is coming for my BRAND NEW Lexington. Did it fix yours?

Swapped out, smoker turned on but right away was reading high temp, but no ignition then code came back on and wont start, opened control board and saw the fuse isn't burnt out. not sure what's next.

Mine has two screws holding it down and impossible to replace

ok so i have a pitboss laredo platinum i used the god damn thing 3 times now i keep getting a err code and says temp error i checked the ignitor it is working as it should i get temp up to like 250 and then just shuts down with that error err IT SAYS RUnning to hot and shuts down is this the fix or u think something else ive also cleaned it throughly

Just cut the end off of the old wire so it pulls out easier.

Yea..... did all this but failed to tell that getting the probe out is the hardest part. It's made for it not to be replaced...

The guy that put that together should've put the Philips head on the inside and the nut on the outside.
