I was going to listen for a short while but ended up watching the whole thing. I am a beginning guitarist, and I have two great guitars but that 594 is a beauty. I like the fact that they are offering beautiful affordable guitars for those who wish to own a PSR. When my wife allows it and I can show her that I have improved my Mojo, then I can start looking for one. I might have to wait awhile if I wish to purchase an American model, but the new S2 line looks good. It is interesting as I like the SE colors better than the S2 colors.

I tell you what. If you ask Paul about a guitar you’re looking for and he finds it and hands it right to you. Buy it. Right there and then. If that ain’t the best service there is, I don’t know what is. What a cool video. Looked like a genuine good time.

I think Paul needs to shop the S2 line more than the private stock for speaking events. I’ve met several people with Prs guitars but I’ve never seen a private stock in the wild.
@matthashobbies3 жыл бұрын
Yeah I never see private stocks at gigs, even for the really big artists who are signed by PRS. I'd love to own a private stock but they're just something I can't afford for the time being. I'd love to see more S2 and bolt on models coming to the brand in 2021
@bojangles64442 жыл бұрын
@@matthashobbies you have to go to a big fancy store, like this one, guitar center isn’t really equipped to sell anything but garbage. I grew up going to smaller family owned shops I couldn’t believe how poorly guitar center treats customers. They don’t even do a setup or polish things up. A lot of places never reopened the showroom after Covid and are stock piling more inventory for internet sales. That’s where the money is- the private stock and custom shop will he towards the back they are much more likely to get an online order than a walk in one. Unless you live in CA, NYC, Nashville etc you aren’t going to find any “destination stores” for the most part. There isn’t really a good store in my whole state.

In terms of a guitar having MOJO. NOT every guitar has mojo to every player. the guitar that speaks to me and makes me obsessed with it, and has that Mojo - may not have the same effect on you. And i think thats a beautiful thing. theres a guitar for everyone. and what may have mojo to me, may not have mojo to you. I wish Paul would have answered it this way. cause i believe it to be true.

Disagree that a guitar that rings longer is a better guitar…it’s so far only better at one thing… ringing longer…what makes a guitar good is the way it resonates with the player…if a good player likes the the way a guitar looks and feels and sounds it will resonate with them and convey what they are feeling..
@greekfreak19803 жыл бұрын
Rule of thumb: if an electrical guitar "rings" very long, when it´s not plugged into an amp, that´s a good thing. Mr. Smith is not the only one who says that, I´ve heard plenty of luthiers and pro guitar players say the exact same thing over the years.
@Sphere2823 жыл бұрын
Nothing wrong with ringing long but pushing that a guitar is better because of it is wrong. Prs does not have any amazing technology that other makers don’t have. Guitar technology was perfected with a 59 les Paul…they are not iPhones lol he seems to think prs belongs in the big three when really that is Gibson, fender and next probably Ibanez as they changed everything and created something for a totally different kind of player and have really pushed the envelope of playing style…prs are not bad guitars but they obviously don’t work for everyone or everyone including all guitar heroes would be playing them
