For now! 😄 I notice that linguistic terms often create misunderstandings in the communication of language acquisition. If someone speaks a language perfectly, they must have mastered every aspect that a linguist can define with a term. It doesn't matter whether they did this consciously or unconsciously. Do what you believe is right; the results will reflect your beliefs, whether they are right, wrong, or simply incomplete. Like you, after initial understanding of the concept of pitch accent, the right accent comes to me like inner voice based on the memory of what I watched in anime. Somehow, I still see some people do better than others. I wonder why? Maybe attitude and habit play a part in the final results.🤔

The argument is that if you’re not aware of a feature, you won’t be able to repeat it.

@digitlhand if you're listening and repeating, and mimicking what you hear paying attention to detail, you'll learn to do it without knowing the theory behind it.

@@NaturalLanguageLearning I appreciate your reply. But I have to point out that in your demo video where you repeat, you’re not “hearing” the sounds and are repeating an interpretation of what you thought you heard. Don’t get me wrong, if it’s not important to you, it’s not important to you. But this advice that it will eventually go away through practice is just wrong. At least your videos haven’t demonstrated it. To make this comment less negative and more productive, I’ll offer some advice of my own. Play and babble while you’re repeating; you might be surprised that a big change in tongue position brings you closer to the real thing. I appreciate that you’re doing something rather than just writing comments. So, kudos for your efforts and good luck my friend.

The first thing babies mimic is the intonation, then the pronunciation. But you know better.

@DandoPorsaco-ho1zs I guess you're right but that kind of details don't matter much. The point is that you learn it all by listening and repeating.
