This is an earlier video. I just used a word document with shapes and power point. Nowadays I use Sketchup.

Sorry mate, the triangle for the hip is run of 990, rise is 571 gives hip length of 1143.

The other common rafters are not exactly the same as the rafters on the span. I can't explain it without showing an illustration.

All the common rafters in the same section will have the same run and GL. Some will have a different deduction depending on where they are positioned. Eg crown end.
