The darkened stage had me worried Beach House might be adopting one of their musical heroine's Hope Sandoval's peculiar eccentricities. Hope has such stage fright she insists on her band Mazzy Star & her solo project band performing on darkened stages when ever she can persuade a venue to turn the lights down, which is most of time. But I say "Let there be light!" And let the audience see the band! ---Btw, can anyone translate what she says to the audience in French? "I love Paris" is about the only sentence I can catch.
