I have to admit, I somehow completely forgot about this video and how harsh i was on this special. I have to admit that I HAVE warmed up to the reboot since this stream. However, I can also say that it still isn't my cup of tea. But I'll admit that I don't agree with a lot of the bashing I did in this reaction stream. The reboot has some merit and did some admittedly cool things, and it wasn't right of me to completely disregard it xD

1:13:57 I like how the focus here was that the 2006 Heatblast looked better than the 2016 Heatblast and not that the VA was talking to himself in that scene Also to clarify, the design choice of the show was a stupid CN budget thing like with other CN shows that look bad and not the creators themselves choosing to make it look like shit. The creator even made a small animatic made of XLR8 so people could see the design they were planning on going for, which was actually rlly good since it looked like OV but with UA meshed in there

I think the reboot gets way to much hate I grow up with the other shows to and I think the reboot does some cool things with old Ben 10 ideas. It's actually pretty cool. Personally it's my 3rd fave Ben 10 series But sadly people don't give it a fair chance just going in hating it from the start. Also we see that evil Ben broke his watch to get Alien X and we know if the DNA is messed with it messes with the powers so that's probably why this Alien X was weaker

Yea, that's fair. I grew up with the original 4 series, so I'll admit I'm a bit blinded by nostalgia, but I do agree that the reboot gets a bit too much hate. And I'm guilty of that myself xD

@@PitifulAlloy7thankfully it seems the least hated of the current rebooted shows but still people should give it a chance. like Vilgax I think is actually better in the reboot he has a actual origin showing how he knows so much about the Omnitrix so the reboot actually thinks of old stuff and gives them new ideas that really work. Or even if there not as good as old ones they still are fun like Kevin having a watch that turns him into ripoff versions of Ben's aliens like his Upgrade is called Bootleg that's fun I think. Just really bugs me how much hate the show gets especially when you can tell someone didn't really actually watch it sam's thing happened with Omnivere which I think is the best Ben 10 series

This being an alternate universe instead of the reboot being completely independent, and Max used to be a Plumber was completely irrelevant until this point, and that's why they didn't so much as mention it. The reboot series is self-contained and episodic, and unless something is part of a season's mini arc, it doesn't get mentioned.

He's supposed to be a little goofy and, slightly, selfish when using the omnitrix. Seeing him like this makes me glad that the writers took a different approach to what I considered the egotistical original.

A bit late but I got your answers. Duncan confirmed each Specials were written at different times so they didn't add the power ups because they thought Ben permanently loses them after losing the Omni Key. Not to mention the design cost are overwhelming with multiple Specials done simultaneously.

None of them are the prime Ben, none of them knows Alien X, and that's why their Omnitrix are different, Ben always call the aliens by the name he make for them, but the AF Ben told that they dont call Alien X that way, the UA Ben had the ultimatrix backwards and the Omniverse Ben Omnitrix doesn't have the holographic choose because they are alternative Bens, none of them are the prime one

It was confirmed that they didn't make a "new" universe at the end of the show. They just went back in time to the birth of their own universe and when they went back to their own time, nothing was different about their universe

I'll fully admit that when I watched this, I went into it wanting to hate it and didn't give it a fair chance. If I had a chance to do it over, I would give it more of a chance because I have come around to the reboot, honestly. I let my initial bias of the show take over when I watched this, and that was wrong and completely not fair of me. I do appreciate the comment and your input on the video. And I do completely agree with you. I can't even go back and watch this myself anymore without wondering what was wrong with me when I did this

I realized that when the "Omniverse Ben" showed up and we saw his Omnitrix. The original 4 shows skimped out on drawing some things they were supposed to so at the time, I had just assumed that's what they did for that part of the episode xD

First off, great video!😁Also, despite everything the reboot has gone through, taken, etc. Personally, I'm glad that they took this approach. Specifically, I was wondering about some things, such as: 1. What would happen if Ben used Upgrade on the omnitrix? 2. What would happen if Ben attempted to break the omnitrix intentionally without the self-destruct feature? Would there be a countermeasure against that? 3. Having Kevin create his own omnitrix was a unique way of showing his ingenuity. 4. Having Vilgax be Azmuth's old assisstant made more sense to me on how he knew so much about the omnitrix itself, minus the finer details and still needing the omni-key in order to fully access the potential of the anti-trix, which he sent the plans to Kevin in the first place. P.S. Not trying to sound smart (take it as you will. Just wanted to clarify): I think most people forget that even though this is "Alien X", since Ben didn't unlock it naturally/by inputting any data/etc., then we could see it as he wasn't a true Alien X but a lesser version. The biggest hint being that if it were a true Alien X, he wouldn't have needed to do any of that stuff. He could have just talked with Serena and Bellicus (I think I spelled the names right) and then, probably, destroyed everything, or even bring back his Grandpa Max and Gwen via time reversal, cloning, etc.

I do agree, honestly. I will admit I was in the camp of hating the reboot because it's not the same as what I grew up with, but I have grown to learn to appreciate what it's done for the franchise. I still wouldn't call myself a fan of it, but I don't outright hate it like I used to. You brought up good points too!

I have a sh*t ton of reasons to hate the reboot, the aliens in the reboot, characters, ALIEN X IN THIS EPISODE and SO MUCH MORE!!! Im gonna make a little list. Alien X is EXTREMELY UNDERPOWERED. If we’re realistic, ben couldn’t control the Celestialsapian. They made Alien X a little too limited to ONLY LASERS. It’s a practically omnipotent being, making him shoot lasers is NOT COOL. They gave many of these bens 1 or 2 aliens to use. Even then, WHY AMPHIBIAN? Gwen transforms into ripjaws. In a rocky environment. With NO WATER. BEN IS THE BIGGEST @SSHOLE IN THIS SHOW. Just because it's a kids show doesn't mean it's immune to criticism. There are kids shows/movies that took themselves more seriously than a lot of adult shows (mainly because the former don't try to take their audience for brainless morons) You can't expect some people to not be mad over the Reboot when Ben 10 has taken itself seriously before in its first iterations and the Reboot is basically is even less serious than Omniverse at its worst moments.
